Vanakkam, Makkale,
We have been trying some of the amazing restaurants back-to-back. Today, I have come up with the review of the restaurant called Meena Tai's - A Maharastrian Resto near Alwarpet.
As always, Kulfi has reviewed the vegetarian cuisine of the place on her blog - I am Stri.
Go ahead, and read it!
The NV dishes we had were
1. Kombdi Hirve Sukke
This is a chicken dish cooked with spicy green masala made of coconut and green chilies along with other spices. This was pretty good and authentic. To be honest, I was sceptical on how a Maharastrian dish would be, but this was the first dish we had, and it made a great impression.
2. Mutton Kanda Lasun Masala
Just before I could finish relishing the Sukke, this amazing lamb-based dish arrived, and it was definitely a killer! I love good lamb-based dishes, and this one was bang on the point.
3. Malvani Kombadi Rassa
This dish although meant to be had with rice or roti, I had it with Pav and it was yummy to a whole new level.
4. Kolhapuri Mutton Sukka
This was a simple no-nonsense gravy made of mutton in spicy manner. I had this with both Poori and Pulao, and it was quite spicily good.
5. Goli Pulao
This was a typical pulao with small lamp goli (balls) in it. One word - divine!
Both Kulfi and I recommend this place to you all. Try and let us know!
